Disclaimer: Attendance can only be taken for Events before they have started and while they are ongoing. If you are unable to mark the attendance for any performance even though it has the attendance symbol in the performance list then this may be because the Emcee has already closed the Event.

The mic symbol on the top right indicates that you are on the Emcee Screen

From the “Select Venue” and “Select Category” boxes you shall find a list of Venues and their associated events for you to perform actions on.

Upon Selection of a Venue and an Event you shall see a Performance list like the following.

The Performance List shows the Performers name and their Performance Musical Piece on the left whereas on the right you will find a timestamp and a play button symbol.

The timestamp represents how long the respective performance is expected to last whereas the play button represents that the attendance for this performance has been marked and you may start their performance.

Before you can start any performance however, you must first start the Event itself. On the top right of the Emcee page, right besides the mic symbol, will be a play button. This play button represents that the event is currently in the “open” state and is yet to start.

As the Emcee you have the permission to start the Event and can do so by clicking on this play button on the top right of the page. Upon clicking the play button a dialog box like the following shall pop up for confirmation.

By clicking on the Play button on the right side of this Dialog box the Event can be started.

The Emcee cannot start more than one performance simultaneously. To start another Performance the Emcee will first have to stop the performance that is currently ongoing.

To stop a performance simply click on the running performance from the performance list. Upon clicking on the Performance a Dialog box like the following shall pop up.

By clicking on the “stop” symbol on the right of this dialog box you may stop the running performance.

The absence of the symbol indicates that the performance has already finished.

Once all of the performances have been performed the Emcee may close the Event by clicking on the “stop” symbol on the top right of the Emcee Screen.

Clicking on the “stop” symbol will raise a dialog box like the following for confirmation.

Clicking on the “stop” symbol in this dialog box will stop the given event. Once an Event has been stopped no more Performances can be started by the Emcee.

It also shows the name of the performer for the selected performance and a “tick” button on the top right which you may click to submit your score for the performance.

The body of this page shows the performance musical piece name at the top followed by a list of different criteria.

These criteria represent the different features being used to evaluate a performance for the given event.

The Judge may assign marks based on these criteria by adjusting the thumb associated with each criteria. The thumb will change colors to represent different awards associated with a given mark in the following way.

Once the marks have been adjusted and the Judge wishes to submit them they may click on the “tick” button on the top right of the screen which will popup a confirmation dialog box like the following.

This dialog box will show the Performers name, Performance piece, and total of the marks awarded by the judge. The color associated with the mark represents which award the given mark falls under.

If the Judge is satisfied with this mark and wishes to submit they may do so by clicking the “tick” symbol on the right of the dialog box. If they wish to go back and adjust the scores again they may do so by clicking anywhere outside the popup dialog box.

Once a mark has been awarded by the judge the Performance List will refresh and instead of showing the “gavel” symbol, the performance will show the awarded marks instead in the overall performance list.

Disclaimer: The judge can only submit marks for performances for events that are running. If an Event has been closed by the Emcee, the judge will no longer be able to award any marks to additional performances.
